Your EPCS access can be managed from the Account Setup screen of the main dashboard. This allows you to use the push notification and/or LiveID token to send controlled substances electronically. If you've already completed ID proofing, log into RXNT and click on the avatar in the upper right. Then select Account Setup.

ID.me authentication is required any time you request EPCS access. If you already have an ID.me account and have ID proofed with ID.me, this simply entails completing multi-factor authentication (MFA). If you have not completed ID proofing with ID.me, you will be prompted to submit any required information for verification. Once you've verified with ID.me, only MFA will be required to request a token.

Once your access is successfully requested, the screen will refresh indicating your EPCs access is Pending Practice Admin Approval. A practice administrator will need to approve the request before you can begin sending controlled substances electronically.

To enhance the security of controlled substance prescribing and comply with the DEA regulations, second-party authorization is required for EPCS access. For added security, our system requires that a practice administrator other than the prescriber approve the request. This two-party verification helps prevent unauthorized access and ensures that prescribing practices align with regulatory requirements. For practices with solo-practitioners using EPCS, RXNT maintains this policy, requiring a second registered user. Click here to learn how to set up practice administrators on your account.
