FAQ

My DEA number expires soon. What should I do?

To update your DEA number, sign in to ID.me. Once logged in, go to your profile and find the section for medical details (NPI, Description, and DEA number). Click "Reverify ID" to initiate the process. Follow all remaining prompts by ID.me. When complete, ID.me will share the verified information with RXNT. Return to your RXNT account and click the link in the blue banner on the product dashboard. Here, click Verify with ID.me to finalize the process.

How do I know if my DEA number is expiring?

There are multiple ways to check your DEA expiration date.

  • Check your physical printed DEA certificate, the expiration date should be listed on it.

  • Log into your DEA Registration portal, where your expiration date will be detailed on your profile.

  • The DEA will typically send a renewal notice to the address or email they have on file 60 days before your expiration date.

  • Your health system's or practice's Compliance or Credentialing team likely has your DEA expiration date on file. You can verify this information with them.

  • A blue banner will appear on the product dashboard in your RXNT account, prompting you to update your DEA information if it is expired, nearing expiration, or missing from your ID.me account.

Where do I go in RXNT to update my DEA number?

You cannot directly update your DEA number within RXNT. To update your DEA number, you must first reverify your medical details through ID.me. Once this is complete, click the link in the blue banner on your RXNT account's product dashboard to confirm the update. This action ensures that RXNT receives the updated information from ID.me.

When will I see the banner in RXNT informing me my DEA number is expiring?

A blue banner will appear on your RXNT account product dashboard 30 days before this date. To ensure uninterrupted EPCS capabilities, please re-verify your DEA details before the 30-day mark prior to your DEA expiration date.

Why do I have to update my DEA number in ID.me?

ID.me verifies your identity and medical credentials. They must perform this step each time you are scheduled to renew your DEA number. Once this is done, RXNT obtains the verification from ID.me to ensure your continued access to your secure RXNT products.

What is ID.me?

RXNT partners with ID.me, an online identity verification service, to confirm healthcare providers' credentials before granting access to our EPCS product. They also provide identity verification for various government agencies.
