The Diagnosis Insights dashboard provides an overview of patient ICD-10 diagnoses, offering valuable analytics that enable your practice to make data-driven decisions. The dashboard allows you to filter by many categories and creates a report based on your filter selections.
Viewing the dashboard
Click Reports.
Click Advanced Reporting.
You can also access the dashboard by clicking All.
Then, select the desired report from the Advanced Reporting column.
Select Diagnosis Insights from the Select a dashboard dropdown menu.
Understanding the dashboard
In its default state, the dashboard displays diagnosis data for all patients in the practice. However, the dashboard can be filtered by provider, ICD-10 description, ICD-10 code, last visit, appointment scheduled, discharged, diagnosis date, onset date, status date, birth sex, race, ethnicity, marital status, zip code, status and age. Click the gray circle i icons throughout the dashboard to reveal helpful hints.
Provider
Select one or multiple providers to view data for their patients.
Last Visit, Appointment Scheduled and Discharged status
Last Visit
From the dropdown, select Last Visit > 12 Months Ago.
In this field, select Yes to view data for patients with their last visit greater than 12 months ago, or No for patients with visits within the last 12 months.
Has Scheduled Appointment
From the dropdown, select Has Scheduled Appointment.
In this field, select Yes to view data for patients with an appointment scheduled currently, or No for patients without current scheduled appointments.
Discharged
From the dropdown, select Discharged.
In this field, select Yes to view data for discharged patients, or No for current patients.
Select all checkboxes or a combination of the three to include each option.
ICD-10
ICD-10 Description
Set the dropdown to ICD-10 Description, then select one or multiple ICD-10 descriptions to view data for patients with specific diagnoses.
ICD-10 Code
Set the dropdown to ICD-10 Code, then select one or multiple ICD-10 codes to view data for patients with specific diagnoses.
Diagnosis Date, Onset Date, Status Date and Last Visit Date
Diagnosis Date
From the dropdown, select Diagnosis Date.
In this field, select a date to view data for patient diagnoses that were added on a specific date.
Onset Date
From the dropdown, select Onset Date.
In this field, select a date to view data for patient diagnoses with a specific onset date.
Status Date
From the dropdown, select Status Date.
In this field, select a date to view data for patient diagnoses that were placed into their current status as of the entered date.
Last Visit Date
From the dropdown, select Last Visit Date.
In this field, select a date to view diagnosis data for patients that haven't had an appointment since that date.
# of Patients
The number shown here reflects how many patients fit within the criteria set in the filters throughout the dashboard. This number fluctuates as you alter the filters.
Total # of Patients
The number shown here reflects how many patients are in the practice. This number does not fluctuate as you alter the filters.
Patient Demographics
Patient demographics include:
- Birth Sex, Race, Ethnicity, Marital status
- View and filter data using the half-pie chart
- Location by zip code
- View data in the map
- Age Distribution
- View and filter data in the bar chart
Birth Sex
In the half-pie chart, the filter will default to patient Birth Sex. Review the data for this category and further filter the dashboard by clicking on desired slices.
Race
In the half-pie chart filter, select Race from the dropdown menu to review patient data by race.
View the data and further filter the dashboard by clicking on desired slices.
Ethnicity
In the half-pie chart, select Ethnicity from the dropdown menu to review patient data by ethnicities.
View the data and further filter the dashboard by clicking on desired slices.
Marital Status
In the half-pie chart, select Marital Status from the dropdown menu to review patient data by martial status.
View the data and further filter the dashboard by clicking on desired slices.
If you have further filtered your dashboard by specific demographics (slices), click Clear Filter to return to all data.
Zip Code
Scroll down to view the remainder of the dashboard. The Patient Zip Codes filter provides you with a map to visualize patient's locations. The blue dots indicate patients by zip codes, the multi-colored dots indicate a large amount of patients in an area. Zoom in or out to review the data.
Age
The Age Distribution bar chart will display how many patients are within specific age brackets.
Further filter the dashboard by clicking on desired bars.
Export a filter's data by using the icon in the top-right of each window.
Status
Select one or multiple diagnosis statuses to view data for patients with specific diagnosis statuses.
The results within this bar chart fluctuate as the rest of the dashboard is filtered.
Report
The report will display all data fitting the criteria set by your filters.
Add or remove columns from the report using the dropdown menu.
The dropdown menu contains additional filters (columns) not included above in the dashboard. These include:
- Patient name
- Patient ID
- Chart #
- MRN
- Cell Phone
Export the report.
