Advanced Reporting - Encounter Insights

The Encounter Insights dashboard provides an overview of your encounters, offering valuable analytics that enable your practice to make data-driven decisions. The dashboard allows you to filter by many categories and creates a report based on your filter selections.

Viewing the dashboard

Click Reports.

You can also access the dashboard by clicking All.

Then, select the desired report from the Advanced Reporting column.

Understanding the dashboard

In its default state, the dashboard displays the data of encounters within the last 90 days for all providers that have encounters in their name. The dashboard can be filtered by date range, provider, encounter status, encounters over time and encounter names. Click here to learn more about filtering advanced reports!

Click the gray circle icons throughout the dashboard to reveal helpful hints.

Date Range

Select a Date Range for your data.

Based on your date range, the bar chart below and to the right shows the data in the # of Encounters Over Time filter. 

# of Encounters Over Time

This bar chart indicates the amount of encounters within the chosen date range. Use as a visual aid for your data and to further filter your dashboard by clicking on desired bars.

Provider

Select one or multiple providers to view their encounter data.

Based on your selections, the horizontal bar chart below shows data in the Encounters by Provider filter.

This horizontal bar chart indicates the amount of encounters for each provider selected above. Use as a visual aid for your data and to further filter your dashboard by clicking on desired bars.

By default, the horizontal bar chart will display data for the providers with the most encounters.

The dashboard allows up to 10 providers to display in the horizontal bar chart. If more than 10 are selected in the Provider dropdown menu, the report will include data for all selected. 

Encounter Status

Filter your data by encounter statuses, including:

  • Signed
  • Released
  • In Review

Encounter Names

Scroll down to see the remainder of the dashboard. Click the Encounter Names dropdown menu to see all

Select one or multiple encounter names to view data for those selected.

The bar chart below indicates the amount of encounters that exist for each encounter name selected above.

By default, the bar chart will display the encounter names with the most usage.

The dashboard allows up to 10 encounter names to display in the bar chart. If more than 10 are selected in the Encounter Names dropdown menu, the report will include data for all selected. 

# of Encounters

The number shown here reflects how many encounters fit within the criteria set in the filters throughout the dashboard. This number fluctuates as you alter the filters.

Report

The report will display all data fitting the criteria set by your filters.

Add or remove columns from the report using the dropdown menu.

The dropdown menu contains additional filters (columns) not included above in the dashboard. These include:

  • Group Name (Location)
  • Chief Complaint
  • Last Modified By

Export the report.
