Schedule and Check In For Your Appointments (New)

Your provider must be using RXNT Scheduling in order for you to check into your appointment from the patient portal. Not all providers use the schedule or request appointment features. The option you see in your patient portal is based on what your provider's office has chosen to implement.

Schedule appointment

Begin by navigating to the Appointments tab within the main menu header of the portal dashboard.

Telehealth appointments

Supplement in-person visits with virtual follow-ups and remote communication with your provider!

If your doctor's office has enabled the virtual appointment feature, you may see a fourth dropdown menu if a specific Provider and Appointment Reason are chosen. If so, select Virtual or In-Person based on your preference for the appointment. Proceed with the steps detailed above to complete the appointment setup.

This feature is not yet available in the MyRXNT app.

Copays and deposits

Depending on your practice's setup, you may be required to pay a copay or deposit upon scheduling an appointment.

Once you have selected your desired appointment slot, the Confirm Details section will indicate whether the selected appointment type requires payment. Review the appointment details, then click Continue to proceed.

Select the Case and click Proceed To Payment.

Your required appointment deposit, provider, appointment type, appointment date, and time will be displayed under Appointment Information. The required deposit amount will be selected by default.

If you made a payment within the last 24 hours, it may not be reflected here yet.

The required payment type will be displayed under Required Payment and selected by default. In this example, the patient is required to pay their copay amount.

If you have an outstanding balance, it will also be displayed under Additional Payment and selected by default. The appointment details, including the date and any CPT codes with a brief description, will also be displayed.

You can deselect the Pay Towards Patient Balance checkbox if you prefer not to pay it at this time. If you wish to pay only a portion of the balance, enter the amount you want to pay in the Pay field.

Any remaining balance is displayed in the Account Summary

Credit Card is selected by default, as it is the only available payment method. If you have a card on file, that card will also be selected automatically.

To add a different credit card, click Add New Card, enter the required card information and click Save

If you have multiple cards on file, you can set any card as your default payment method. Click the three dots next to the card you want to use, then select Set as Default

The Payment Summary displays the total payment amount, including any copay, deposit, and patient balance, along with the remaining balance. Click Submit Payment to process your payment.

Once the payment is submitted, a confirmation will be displayed with the payment details, including the amount paid, practice and patient information, payment summary, card details used, and any remaining balance.

You will now be checked in for your appointment.

A copy of the receipt will automatically be emailed to the email address on file. If you would like to send an additional copy, click Email Receipt, enter the email address, and click Send

Start check-in

On the Dashboard, click Check-in to the right of the appointment in the Appointments grid.

Appointments can only be checked in beginning 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time and up until the end of the scheduled appointment time.

Step 1: Patient information

Review the patient’s information displayed. Keep in mind that the Demographics and Contact fields are read-only and can be updated during a later step or by contacting the provider’s office. The Address fields can be updated as needed.

Once you’ve reviewed the patient’s information and made any necessary updates, click Continue

Steps 2: Forms

The Complete Patient Forms screen displays all forms that must be completed before continuing with check-in. The number of completed forms is shown next to Forms.

Sign consent forms

To begin completing the required forms, click Open Forms. You can also select a specific form, such as Patient Consent, to open it directly.

Review the Patient Consent form. To sign electronically, select the checkbox confirming that you have read and agree to sign the consent form. Enter the patient’s or guardian’s name in the Patient/Guardian Signature field, then click Sign to complete the form.

The number of forms remaining is displayed in the upper-right corner of the screen. If additional forms are required, you’ll automatically be taken to the next form after signing.

Complete intake forms

Once you have signed all consent forms, you will be prompted to complete any outstanding intake forms. Enter the required information, then click Complete at the bottom of the form.

Step 3: Payments (copays & deposits)

Depending on your practice's setup, you may be required to pay a copay or deposit when checking in for your appointment.

Once consent and intake forms have been completed, if applicable, you will be notified if your appointment requires payment and prompted to select the insurance case to apply to this appointment. Select the Case and click Proceed To Payment.

The appointment details will be displayed under Appointment Information

If you made a payment within the last 24 hours, it may not be reflected here yet.

The required payment amount and type will be displayed under Required Payment and selected by default.

If a copay or deposit is required, it must be paid to complete check-in, and outstanding balance is optional.

The outstanding balance amount is displayed in the Account Summary

Credit Card is selected by default, as it is the only available payment method. If you have only one card on file, it will be selected by default. If you have multiple cards on file, your default card will be selected automatically.

To add a different credit card, click Add New Card, enter the required card information, and click Save

Launch your telehealth appointment

Once you've completed all forms, you'll be checked in for your appointment. If your appointment is for a telehealth visit, click Launch Appointment to launch it directly from your patient portal account. You can find this link within the Appointments tab as shown below, or, from the main dashboard of the patient portal.
