Coming soon, the Prescriber Dashboard in the RXNT app will be updated with a clean, modern design to make it easier to use and more visually appealing. The new interface focuses on simple navigation, clear organization, and accessibility for all users. The updates will roll out gradually, beginning with a small group of RXNT users on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, and will be available to the rest of the clients over the following days. This article includes images showing the new updates, but the functionality remains the same.
About pending prescriptions
The pending prescriptions tab on the prescriber dashboard in the RXNT app lets you review all prescriptions that have been created but not yet sent. This includes items the prescriber saved to send later, as well as prescriptions queued by staff that need approval or denial.
View all
Log into the RXNT app and tap Clinical.
Tap Pending on the prescriber dashboard menu.
Filter the list
Tap Filter by to narrow down the list of pending prescriptions by provider. You can choose one or more providers to view only their pending prescriptions.
Only providers who have pending prescriptions will appear in the filter options list. If a provider's name isn't listed, it means they don't have any pending prescriptions to approve.
Select the intended provider(s) then tap Done.
To review a prescription's summary, simply tap within the prescription card.
It is helpful to review the prescription summary to confirm the details before approving or voiding.
Approve pending prescription(s)
To approve prescriptions, just tap each prescription card to select them. You can select multiple prescriptions at the same time. Selected prescriptions will show a blue checked radio button.
If a patient has several pending prescriptions and you'd like to approve them all, just tap the radio button next to their name. This will select all their prescriptions at once.
When you're ready, tap Approve to send them electronically.
If a prescription is for a controlled substance, you must be enrolled with EPCS and have an activated token for two-factor authentication in order to approve the prescription.
Please confirm your choice by tapping Continue on the alert.
To quickly and easily approve one prescription at a time, just tap Approve within the card itself.
Once pending prescriptions are approved and sent, they will be available in the Recent tab of the prescriber dashboard for reference.
Void pending prescription(s)
To void prescriptions, just tap each prescription card to select them. You can select multiple prescriptions at the same time. Selected prescriptions will show a blue checked radio button.
If a patient has several pending prescriptions and you'd like to void them all, just tap the radio button next to their name. This will select all their prescriptions at once.
When you're ready, tap Void.
Please confirm your choice by selecting Continue on the Alert.
Choose a Void Reason (required) from the dropdown menu, and enter your comments if applicable, then tap Void.
The following void reasons are available:
- Patient unknown to the Provider
- Patient never under Provider care
- Patient no longer under Provider care
- Medication never prescribed for the patient
- Patient should contact Provider first
- Patient needs appointment
- Prescriber not associated with this practice or location
- Request already responded to by other means (e.g. phone or fax)
- Medication denied at patient request
To quickly and easily void one prescription at a time, just tap Void within the card itself.
The app will direct you back to pending prescriptions where you will no longer see any prescriptions that have been voided. Tap Voided in the navigation bar to locate and view voided prescriptions.
