Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Users have three options for multi-factor authentication: text message, email, or an authenticator app. If you can't access any of these options at the moment, you can log in using a recovery code. If you don’t have the recovery codes provided during MFA set up, your practice administrator can provide one to you. Read below to learn more.
New users enabling MFA for the first time
To log in, please use the username and password provided to you by your Practice Administrator.
After entering your password, please proceed by enabling your preferred Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) method. Start by selecting from Text Message, Email, or an Authenticator app of your choice. Use the tabs below to see the details for each option.
Select SMS from the dropdown menu.
Enter your mobile phone number, then tap Send Code.
A confirmation message will pop up, letting you know that the code was sent successfully. Please check your mobile device to find the verification code.
The text message may look something like this:
To confirm the MFA method, enter your verification code below, then tap Enable MFA.
A message will now appear informing you two-factor authentication has been enabled successfully, and you will be provided with 10 recovery codes. Recovery codes are helpful when you're unable to access your saved MFA methods, like if you can't reach your mobile device or email.
Just tap Copy Codes to conveniently copy all 10, and remember to keep the recovery codes in a secure place.
The Copy Codes link will change to Copied!, indicating that all recovery codes have been successfully copied to your clipboard.

Existing users logging in with MFA
Starting on Wednesday, August 6th, 2025, existing users will be required to re-credential their MFA method and will automatically have both Email and Text Message MFA options enabled. This change will be introduced gradually, first to a small group of RXNT customers on August 6th, then to remaining customers in the following days. Use the tabs below for more detailed instructions based on your selection.
You can manage your preferred MFA method in Account Setup (web-based RXNT version only).
After your first login, your multi-factor authentication (MFA) method will automatically set to the last option you used for the previous login. Proceed with your login by entering the code sent to that last used method. To switch to an alternative MFA method that is already enabled, please tap Try another method.
The example shown in the tabs below features a situation where all MFA methods are activated, which is why you see the options of Text message, Email, Authenticator and Recovery Code.
Select Text Message, then Continue.
Open the text message to view the code.
The text message may look something like this:
Enter the code below, then tap Enable MFA to log in.
Select Email message, then Continue.
Open the email to view the code.
The email may look something like this:
Enter the code below, then click Enable MFA to log in.
Select Authenticator, then Continue.

Enter your recovery code below, then tap Verify to log in.
Where can I find my recovery code?
If you don’t have your recovery codes saved, feel free to ask a Practice Administrator at your office. They can generate a recovery code that is specific to your account and share it with you.Passkey login
A passkey offers a secure way to log in without using a traditional password. It allows you to log in to your account using a compatible device with fingerprint, face recognition, PIN code, or password manager.
Using a passkey makes signing in to RXNT:
- Faster – No need to type in your password each time; simply use your fingerprint, face, or device PIN.
- More secure – Passkeys are harder to steal or guess than traditional passwords, helping protect your RXNT account.
- Easier to manage – You don’t need to remember or reset passwords, reducing login frustration.
Passkeys work with your device’s built-in security (like Touch ID or Face ID), making your login experience smoother while keeping your account safe.
Passkey setup
Once you've finished setting up MFA, you'll get a prompt to set up a passkey. If you prefer not to set one up, just tap Skip. If you want to avoid being asked again on this device, feel free to select Do not ask me again on this device.
To proceed with passkey setup, enter a passkey name. This name will help you recognize it later. After entering a name, tap Register. A passkey prompt will display natively on your device to set up the passkey.
RXNT does not recommend setting up passkeys on shared computers/devices.
You will see different options available depending on your device. For example, if you’re on a Windows computer, you may see options to use your computer’s fingerprint reader, Windows Hello, or your device PIN.
More than one passkey can be set up if you use multiple devices. You can add additional passkeys or manage your existing passkey in Account Setup. Click here to learn more!
Generate recovery code (practice administrators only)
If a user is unable to complete MFA for any reason, practice administrators have the ability to generate a recovery code specific to the user.
This is completed on a desktop.
Navigate to the Utility menu from the main product dashboard.
Scroll the menu and click on Location and Staff Management.
Click the User tab, then locate the intended user and click on their name.
The user's information will display in a window to the right.
Scroll down to Multi Factor Authentication and click Generate Recovery Code.
The code will appear below. Click Copy and provide the user with their recovery code.
The recovery code is valid for 10 minutes.
IP access control
RXNT offers IP restrictions to help keep your practice secure. This feature allows your staff to access RXNT only from approved IP addresses within your practice, preventing access from outside locations like home.
If you'd like to set this up, just get in touch with us, and our Engineering team will handle the IP restriction setup for you.
