ERAs contain information about payments from the payer to help you allocate payments accordingly in the RXNT system.
ERA details
To view an ERA, follow the steps below.
Navigate to the Insurance Payment tab.
Click on an insurance payment.
Click Print ERA to navigate to the ERA claim detail screen
The ERA appears in a pop-up. Scroll down to view the payment information for all patients.
If you only want to view payments for select patients, check the box next to the patient's name.
ERA summary
For a quick overview of the ERA details, access the ERA print summary.
Navigate to the Insurance Payment tab.
Click on the ERA summary icon.
Click Print.
Click on the downloaded file to see the ERA summary.
Download ERA in the 835 format
You can download ERA's in the 835 format to easily transfer payment information from one system to another.
Navigate to the Insurance Payment tab.
Click on an insurance payment.
Click Print ERA to navigate to the ERA claim detail screen
Click on the Download 835 button.
The ERA in the 835 format is downloaded. Click the downloaded file to view the ERA in the 835 format.
ERA summary along with ERA detail report
You can easily view the ERA summary along with the ERA claim detail report.
Navigate to an insurance payment.
Click Print ERA
Click Print with Summary
The ERA summary and ERA claim details will be displayed together
Click on Print to download the file.
Upload 835 Files
Uploading 835 files is a straightforward process.
Click Insurance Payments in the top navigation bar.
Click 835 Upload.
Note: Upload accepts only TXT files. The size limit for each file is 1 GB.
Select the File you want to upload, then click the 835 Upload button.
Once the 835 file has been uploaded, you will locate it in the Pending ERAs tab.
Once successfully generated, it will also be moved to the Unposted Insurance Payment tab.
Click on the green icon in the Payment/ERA column.
Review and make any necessary edits, then click Save and Post.

At the bottom of each ERA, you'll find a glossary of codes for quick reference and a better understanding of the codes.
Missing ERAs
If you are expecting an ERA but do not see it within the Billing product, please ensure the the correct CPID has been added in the Billing Utilities for the Payer in the ERA fields. If there is an option for (OKC Only) for a Payer, please utilize the CPID associated with the line that lists OKC Only beside the Payer name. Click here to learn more!
