Intake Workflow is a feature for EHR customers that is designed to speed and simplify the process of starting a patient visit. If you have a nurse or medical assistant taking the Vitals, History, or other details from the patient before the physician starts the encounter - Intake Workflow is for you!
This feature is fully integrated into our Smart Form and Today's Appointments features to streamline your practice.
To configure Intake Workflow, select Intake Workflow Options from the EHR Utilities Menu, located under the Clinical Admin Tools
Select the Checkbox to enable Intake Workflow and then choose your intake options. These options can be enabled using the checkboxes in the left-hand column, and they can be reordered using the arrows in the right-hand column.
When a new encounter is started, the user will be first prompted to enter information into the associated plugin enabled for intake, in the order that they are arranged. They will then be able to either save and exit or save and start the encounter. Note that if the selected encounter template does not include the associated plugin, that intake section will be skipped.
Intake Workflow options are associated with the following Smart Form encounter plugins:

*If the chosen Smart Form has any one or more of the associated PFSH plugins, those plugins will appear if PFSH is enabled as an intake option.
