Leave open can be selected when a payer does not pay for a specific line item, however you do not agree with that decision. You can simply leave that line item open, and RxNT will not send the balance to the next responsible party. Instead we will leave that line item to the payer that denied, allowing time for follow up or appeal.
Note: If a client has the Denial Management feature turned on, RxNT will automatically leave any denied line items open for you. You can find these line items in your Claims screen > Denied tab
